When traveling the first thing I do is visit the food markets to get a smell of the spices used in the local cuisine. I ask questions and stay for long periods of time, observing what others get and what combinations are often acquired. I visit more than one stall and choose wisely. These spices are from my last trip to India, specifically from Jodhpur, the beautiful blue city located centrally within the state of Rajasthan. The spices reflect the bright colors of this state.
